This Privacy Policy describes how SupaCalendar ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. By installing or using SupaCalendar, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

SupaCalendar lets you create and manage calendar events locally on your device. The following data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers:

Event titles, descriptions, dates, times, and reminders
Event categories, colors, and notes
User preferences (language, theme, default view, notification settings)

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we (or our third-party SDKs) may automatically collect:

Device information: device model, OS version, screen size, language, country/region, time zone
App usage data: features used, screens viewed, session duration, crashes and errors
Identifiers: Android Advertising ID (AAID), Firebase Installation ID, app instance ID
Performance data: ANR reports, crash logs, network performance metrics
Approximate location: derived from IP address (not GPS) to localize holidays and ads

1.3 Permissions Requested

The App requests the following Android permissions:

We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, SMS, or call logs.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

Provide and maintain calendar, lunar conversion, and reminder features
Localize holidays based on your country/region
Schedule and deliver event notifications
Display ads (including personalized ads where permitted)
Diagnose crashes, monitor performance, and improve stability
Analyze feature usage to improve the App
Comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services

SupaCalendar integrates the following third-party SDKs and services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

3.1 Google / Firebase

Firebase Analytics — usage analytics
Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting
Firebase Remote Config — feature flags and holiday overrides
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — optional push notifications
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) — advertising

3.2 Meta Audience Network

Mediated through AdMob for ad delivery.

3.3 Nager.Date Public API

Public holiday data fetched by country code. No personal data sent.

4. Advertising

The App is supported by ads. We may show banner, interstitial, native, rewarded, and app-open ads.

Personalized ads: when permitted by your consent / region, our ad partners use the AAID and other identifiers to show ads relevant to you.
Non-personalized ads: in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and other regulated regions, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain consent or show non-personalized ads where required by law.

You can reset or limit the use of your Android Advertising ID at any time in: Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Google → Ads).

5. Children's Privacy

SupaCalendar is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Data Retention

On-device data (events, settings) remains until you delete the data, uninstall the App, or clear app storage.
Analytics and crash data are retained by Firebase according to their default retention windows (typically up to 14 months for Analytics, 90 days for Crashlytics breadcrumbs).
Ad identifiers are managed by the operating system and ad networks.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

Service providers listed in Section 3, under their respective terms
Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety

Data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards used by our providers.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have the right to:

Access, correct, or delete personal information about you
Object to or restrict certain processing
Opt out of personalized advertising
Withdraw consent at any time
Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. Because most user content (events, settings) is stored locally on your device, you can usually access or delete it directly within the App or by uninstalling.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) for network requests and the standard Android sandbox for on-device storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or via the App's store listing. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
